The International Strategy and Reconciliation Foundation,  Inc. (a.k.a, The Institute for Strategy and  Reconciliation)  is an independent and not-for-profit  501(c)(3) international institution recognized and approved by the US Department of Treasury.  Its chapter in Asia, the ISR-Korea, has been approved by the Ministry of Reunification in the Republic of Korea.

As a think tank and international development and relief organization headquartered in Washington DC, the ISR Foundation conducts evidence-based interdisciplinary research and studies with its program focus in conflict regions, and advances science diplomacy.  The ISR Foundation has carried out since 1995 humanitarian projects in Democratic People's Republic of Korea
